COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM JOKE #9: No Government Benefits for Illegal Immigrants

Marco Rubio is out there saying that illegal immigration who get the pathway to citizenship won't be able to get on any welfare programs. The joke is they already are! He and the other Gang of Eight Senators say they illegals will have to pay a $2000 fine.  Watch the story of this woman an  illegal immigrant in the U.S. over twenty years. She already gets $240 per month in food stamps alone. Her $2000 fine under Comprehensive Immigration reform proposed by democratic Senator Chuck Schumer  and others of the Gang of Eight will make up for only eight months of food stamps this woman has received. Sweet little deal Schumer and the Democrats along with Republicans like McCain and Rubio are proposing. Sweet deal if you are an illegal immigrant that is:

COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM JOKE #7: Slush Fund for Pro Illegal Immigration Groups

"The pro-amnesty lobbyists who helped craft the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill included within the bill two "slush funds" amounting to $150 million that may be supplemented with additional taxpayer dollars for years to come. Slush fund grantees are "public or private, non-profit organizations" described in the bill as including "a community, faith-based, or other immigrant-serving organization whose staff has demonstrated qualifications, experience, and expertise in providing quality services to immigrants, refugees, persons granted asylum, or persons applying for such statuses." So let me get this straight those groups who helped, enabled and allowed illegal immigrants to evade the laws of the United States in the past will be getting millions of taxpayer dollars as a reward with Comprehensive Immigration Reform?

COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM: Joke #1 Fines and Back Taxes

"Allow undocumented immigrants who have lived in the United States continually since before December 31, 2011 to apply for “Registered Provisional Immigrant Status” if they pay back taxes and $500 in fines, and if they have not been convicted of a felony or 3 or more misdemeanors or voted illegally. Individuals with this status can work for any employer and travel outside the country but are not eligible to receive means-tested federal public benefits."- NBC

First on taxes there were provisions in the 2007 immigration bill that illegal immigrants had to pay back taxes. But, that was later dropped because it was "too complicated to enforce" does anyone believe that anything has changed since then? Certainly, Senator Chuck Schumer one of the gang of eight pushing this plan has killed plans to make illegals play by the same rules as U.S. taxpayers  as far back as the 1986 immigration plan.

Second the illegals only have to pay a a $500 fine. What a joke! Some of these illegals paid thousands of dollars to cross the U.S. borders illegally. Charging just a $500 fine for the illegals  to be allowed to keep working legally in the U.S. is another joke!

HOW CHUCK SCHUMER FAILED U.S. TAXPAYERS ON IMMIGRATION REFORM BEFORE

As the April 15th deadline for U.S. taxpayers approaches it's good to remember how politicians like New York Senator Charles Schumer FAILED in previous immigration reforms to make sure that those in this country illegally actually paid their taxes.  Here is exhibit A:
"On January 28, 1987, then-Rep. Schumer wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury, urging the government "immediately" to issue a regulation declaring that illegal aliens applying for permanent residence pursuant to IRCA were exempt from section 6039E. Schumer argued that Congress "did not intend" that illegal aliens amnestied by IRCA would be subject to the tax disclosure requirements that Congress had enacted two weeks earlier. According to Schumer: "Obviously, we could not have a successful legalization program if by submitting an application an alien became vulnerable to an enforcement action by the IRS." MORE HERE

We could not trust Schumer then and would should not trust him now.

MARCO RUBIO BRINGS THE FOX INTO THE IMMIGRATION HENHOUSE

Between Rand Paul folding like a cheap suit and dropping his principles namely the principle of the rule of law in order to hispander to Latinos while calling for rewarding illegal immigrants with amnesty. Now comes word that Marco Rubio has bought in a Florida immigration lawyer to work on this bogus "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"  worked on in secret by him and a gang of seven other Senators behind closed doors. Here is exhibit A:


"Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio’s top lawyer in the closed-door effort to draft a new immigration bill is a Democratic donor who earns his living by bringing foreign workers into the country on behalf of corporations and universities.
The lawyer, Enrique Gonzalez, is a partner at the nation’s largest immigration firm whose future depends on the outcome of Gonzalez’s closed-door work.
Rubio hired Gonzalez in January, when he was a partner at the Coral Gables, Fla., office of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy." -MORE HERE

No conflict of interest here eh.  Wonder how Gonzalez's input into the bill is going to work out for legal immigrants and American workers?   Is Marco Rubio this estúpido!  Does he really think the Tea Party folks and conservatives who helped him get into office will give him a blank check after this stunt. The fix is in and it seems Marco Rubio has been in on it from the beginning.
