NEWTOWN AND THE ACLUnatics

Usually when the American Civil Liberties Union gets involved with an issue good law abiding people and society in general often get hurt one way or another. Whether it is defending illegal immigrants who have broken U.S. laws or working to defeat laws like SB452 in Connecticut earlier this year. Here is exhibit A:

A troubling revelation has broken regarding a mental health bill recently defeated in Connecticut during this calendar year. Had it passed, that bill could have possibly taken Adam Lanza off the streets so he would not have been free to commit his heinous act on December 14.

In February 2012, Connecticut Senate Bill 452 (SB452) was put forward to remedy the fact that Connecticut was one of less than ten states in the U.S. to lack an "assisted outpatient treatment" (AOT) law.
"Why didn't the legislation pass? Because the ACLU and other "civil liberties" groups and individuals cried foul. The ACLU in particular said 452 would "infringe on patients' privacy rights by expanding [the circle of] who can medicate individuals without their consent." They also said it infringed on patient rights by reducing the number of doctors' opinions necessary to commit someone to institutionalization.  "  -BIG GOVERNMENT

It's now known Lanza had mental health issues so much so that school officials at the Sandy Hook school notified security to keep an eye on him while he was a student at the school. But,  groups like the ACLU don't want any scrutiny of people like Lanza once they are out in the world. Such a liberal ideology may have conspired to allow Lanza the "freedom" to orchestrate the massacre that occurred at the Sandy Hook school.
Here is EXHIBIT B!

Black Friday turns red with blood.

I actually participated in some Black Friday shopping. I rise early and so I decided that I might as well head over to a nearby Office Depot store here in Washington D.C. that was opening at 6 AM. I need a new printer that would work with a new HP laptop I had purchased a few weeks ago. They had a great deal on one multifunction unit for twenty five bucks. I arrived at the store about five minutes before 6AM and there were about thirty people already on line. A store employee came out a few minutes before and handed out papers for some of the sale items like laptops etc. If he had one to give you were guaranteed the item when the store opened. I got my HP printer and was out of the store in about 45 minutes. It was nice and orderly.
Others where not so lucky:

"A stampede of shoppers in a Valley Stream Wal-Mart on Friday morning left one worker dead and at least three patrons injured after an impatient crowd broke down the store doors and trampled the seasonal employee, Nassau police said.
Jdimytai Damour of Jamaica, Queens, was pushed to the ground by the 2,000-plus crowd just before 5 a.m. as management was preparing to open the store, which is located across from the main Green Acres Mall building. Hundreds stepped over, around and on the 34-year-old worker as they rushed into the store."
-Newsday

Even worse is what transpired in a Toys R Us store in Palm Desert California:

"Two men pulled guns and shot each other to death in a crowded toy store Friday after women they were with got into a bloody brawl for unknown reasons, witnesses said. Scared shoppers fled but no one else was hurt.
The violence erupted on Black Friday, the traditional post-Thanksgiving start of the holiday shopping surge, but authorities indicated the shooting shortly after 11:30 a.m. was not prompted by shopping frenzy.
Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez said the fight was not over a toy. He said handguns were found by the men's bodies. He would not answer a question about whether the shooting was gang-related."
The victims were identified as Alejandro Moreno, 39, of Desert Hot Springs, and Juan Meza, 28, of Cathedral City."

I wonder if we will ever get the full story of what happened here. At least these two only shot themselves. But, it gives new meaning to the term shop til you drop.

NBC News after fatally shooting IMUS, gives Hui another shot.

Less than a week after NBC News executives like Steve Capus folded like a cheap suit and bowed to the pressure of a racial/political mob that included Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Al Roker, Keith Obermann and shot Don Imus in the head, The news organization is once again in the media spotlight for airing the diatribe and video of Cho Seung Hui the Virginia Tech shooter.

"The unexpected package from Cho Seung Hui that arrived at NBC News yesterday morning contained both a worldwide scoop and a journalistic dilemma."Howard Kurtz, Washington Post

Delemia indeed. After letting Hillary Clinton's political hitmen (Sharpton & Jackson) knock a Clinton critic IMUS off the air. I wonder why Cho Seung Hui would chose to send to NBC News his tapes, photos and writings? Was it because he thought so highly of NBC News or was because NBC was in the news the week before because of the disgraceful handling of the IMUS firing. There are some unanswered questions about this:

Of course, no one forced NBC to broadcast those words and pictures. Capus said network journalists debated for hours what they should make public. "There are some things we haven't shown and words we haven't released that are more appropriate to hold back," he said

Like maybe why Hui choose NBC over other the other mainstream media outlets to deliver his finally shot. Until the public gets to see the entire video and all the documents. NBC will be under a cloud of suspicion over what they released and showed on their network and MSNBC. It could be like the Imus firing NBC is not telling us the whole story.
