JON STEWART DISCOVERS NBC'S EDITGATE BUT, ENDS UP PANDERING TOO!

Jon Stewart on the Daily Show FINALLY acknowledges the NBC NEWS Editgate scandal. Eric Wemple the Washington Post's media blogger has the video.  But, unfortunately Jon Stewart can't just address the NBC editing outrage on it's own without  first making fun of Republicans and finishing up with shots at the Fox Newschannel (who actually broke the story). It seems Stewart can't even do one spot without somehow completely pandering to his Liberal audience.

EDITGATE: NBC NEWS AND THE HYPOCRISY OF MAINSTREAM MEDIA

Well NBC NEWS is behaving like a bad politician by trying to keep the cover over it's Editgate investigation. News reports have surfaced that it had fired the "seasoned" producer who cut the piece. But, of course has not identified the person involved. Would NBC accept that stonewalling from a government official they were investigating? I think not! They also released this information on Friday night. Which is the normal way the Federal Government releases bad news because they think no one is watching.  They sometimes get away with it but, with today's New Media bloggers and citizen journalist sniffing around not so much.

At least Reuters is one news organization has been giving this journalistic outrage some coverage. Even if some so called media reporters like Howard Kurtz are giving it short shrift.

"Under growing public pressure to explain the incident, NBC News President Steve Capus provided Reuters with the fullest explanation to date of how the edited call made it on air and what the network is doing to prevent such a consequential error from happening again.

 "Two sources at the network told Reuters the Miami-based producer of the segment had been fired on Thursday.Capus said "several people" involved were disciplined, though he declined to specify the nature of the disciplinary actions, saying they were internal personnel matters. Sources at the network told Reuters on Thursday that NBC News executives did not know the emergency call was misleadingly edited until news reports surfaced days later on blogs including newsbusters.org and Breitbart.com."

Good thing there are people in the New Media to "fact check their ass" and let these clueless executives know what is going on in their companies. But, Capus still seems clueless to the hypocrisy that has engulfed NBC NEWS and it's leftist leaning MSNBC operation.  Especially when they hired activists like Al Sharpton as hosts with their own shows.  Here is exhibit A:

"Internally, some NBC news staffers have complained that Sharpton's unique role in the case has compounded the damage to NBC News' reputation that the edited tape caused, and contributed to an impression among its critics that the network as a whole is biased against Zimmerman, according to sources. Capus refuted that claim.
"Reverend Sharpton is a talk show host on MSNBC," Capus said. "We believe there's a distinction between the role he plays and our front line journalists who are part of NBC's news gathering and reporting. This is a large news organization that has many people involved in any number of different aspects of coverage and commentary. That's the distinction we've made as a news organization."
 
It seems Capus really does not know totally whats going on at his organization. If he is just dismissing the hiring of activists like Al Sharpton as merely a "talk show host" and distinct from the "front line journalists" who are part of NBC's news gathering and reporting. What does that make Andrea Mitchell who has a daytime show on MSNBC and is frequently reporting on NBC Nightly News. Hypocrisy seems to be part of the problem at NBC News. 

NBC NEWS AND IT'S LAMESTREAM MEDIA APOLOGY!

NBC news offers a  lame stream media "apology" for their inexcusable editing of George Zimmerman's 911 call:

"During our investigation it became evident that there was an error made in the production process that we deeply regret. We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers."

No apology to George Zimmerman the guy they attempted to portray as a racist!  No mention of who was involved! It really was a weaselly announcement from an organization that pretends to think it is still a "news" organization.  Of course this is not the first time NBC has been called out for it's editing decisions.  Looks like there is a pattern here!

The New York Times just put another nail in the coffin of American journalism following NBC's biased reporting and editing of George Zimmerman's 911 call:

"Today's front-page article in the New York Times on the Trayvon Martin case repeated NBC's attempt to cast George Zimmerman as a racist by selectively editing his 911 call."- Big Journalism

Are the liberal editors of these "news" organizations like NBC NEWS and the New York Times really that stupid and think that they won't be called out on their bias and manipilation of the facts!

ABC AND CBS NEWS GET IT WRONG ON THE ZIMMERMAN POLICE VIDEO

Once again the liberal mainstream media are helping to continue to whip the racial and social media lynch mob in trying to convict George Zimmerman in the media. The latest transgression is  from ABC News claiming that the police video of George Zimmerman arriving at the police station showing no injuries. This is absolute B.S. and shoddy journalism on ABC NEWS and other media outlets part like CBS who also jumped on the bandwagon that Zimmerman had no injuries. Here is the video from ABC:



 Now comes time to fact check their "journalism"!  Here is proof that Zimmerman did have injuries when he arrived at the Police station.    A freeze shot at around 1:06 and 1:07 in the above video clearly shows Zimmerman's head has indentations and a large gash and a shaved area where he had received medical attention: Here is exhibit A:

It's amazing that a so called "news" organization like ABC NEWS did not look at the tape close enough to see Zimmerman's injuries at the hand of Trayvon Martin.  But, that's why we blogger's are here to "fact check their ass"!

SPIKE LEE DOES THE WRONG THING

Stupid twitterer Spike Lee gets it wrong. But, then again he's a Liberal film maker so what do you expect:

"Filmmaker Spike Lee tweeted the wrong home address for George Zimmerman, the Sanford, Fla., man who many are claiming should be arrested for shooting and killing Trayvon Martin. The tweet could have potentially put the woman who actually lives at that address in danger." -DAILY CALLER

UPDATE:  Spike Lee apologized today. Good for him. Though it would have been better if he and the liberal media would wait and get the facts correct  before they join the social media lynch mob going after Zimmerman.
