While Obama and the Democrats are trying to use the sequester to make sure it hurts the American people and disrupts the Federal Government as much as possible. Tom Tryniski in upstate New York has been beating the Federal Government in providing a service and has not been using a single United States taxpayer dollar to do it:
A blog from the center trying to save the middle class from being totally screwed by the elites from both parties.

THE BEST MEDIA OBAMA CAN BUY WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS
It's bad enough that MSNBC people like Rachel Maddow have been frequent visitors to the White House. Shamefully, she and NBC NEWS have no ethical qualms on how inappropriate these visits were. Now comes the revelation that the Obama administration funneled a half million dollars to MSNBC for commercials to run on the programs of Obama liberal sycophants Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.
Here is the money quote:
"A recent report has revealed that in 2009 Obama's Department of Labor used Obama stimulus bucks to fund advertising on MSNBC.
The advertisements were created to promote Obama's so-called "green training" job programs and were handled by the PR firm McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC at a cost of $495,000 to the taxpayers.
Two video ads ran for two months, 14 times a week during Countdown With Keith Olbermann and The Rachel Maddow Show.
In a joint email statement to The Times from two Labor Department spokesmen, David Roberts and Michael Volpe, officials said the money was used for outreach efforts to raise awareness among potential employers about the Job Corps’ green training in career areas, including automotive, advanced manufacturing and solar-panel installation.
Records appear to show that the program created no jobs.
Strangely, few other TV outlets were considered to run the ads. PBS was apparently rejected because ad rates were too expensive, and Fox, ESPN, and others aren’t even mentioned in the report. The ads did run on CNN after the stint on MSNBC.
So, shockingly, MSNBC and CNN were the lucky recipients of Obama's stimulus bucks for a jobs program that netted no new jobs."
If this had been done during George Bush'e administration the liberal's would be up in arms. It's plain to see how the Obama Administration pays off it's "friends" in the media with invites to the White House and then doling out taxpayer dollars to their companies.

Air Force One photo op with our taxpayer dollars
It seems there was a photo op of Air Force One (Obama was not onboard) over lower Manhattan this morning. There are a couple of things wrong with this stunt. One is why is it being done i.e. what do they know that we don't? The second in these hard economic times does the Obama Administration really need to conduct "photo ops" with fuel guzzling (taxpayer dollar sucking) planes like 747 aircraft? Especially for "photo ops" over lower Manhattan where low flying aircraft can make citizens nervous. This was a very stupid and costly idea!

Capitol shock over AIG bonuses
Barack Obama and others is hopping mad over $167 million dollars in bonuses that are to be paid to employees of AIG. Like the famous scene from Casablanca he and other pols in Washington are shocked that there is greed in the financial industry. He has instructed his "gelt" boy to try and stop it. My advice is don't hold your breath waiting for this.
"President Obama's apparent inability to block executive bonuses at insurance giant AIG has dealt a sharp blow to his young administration and is threatening to derail both public and congressional support for his ambitious political agenda. "-Washington Post
The question many of us taxpayers are asking is why is AIG still around as a company? Why was it not forced into bankruptcy? Could it be that pols like Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry who own stock in AIG still have a chance of gettting some of their money out as long as we taxpayers keep the company on life support using taxpayers dollars?

Meanwhile is the LA Times finally getting it?
As California continues it's downward fiscal spiral. The good news is that financial disaster may be starting bring the politically correct bias of the LA Times back to some of the reality of what has actually been going on in the state. At least if the column by George Skelton is any indication. He lays out the costs to California of having so many illegal immigrants in the state. Here are some of the literal money quotes:
" The state is spending $775 million on Medi-Cal healthcare for illegal immigrants, according to the legislative analyst. Of that, $642 million goes into direct benefits. Practically all the rest is paid to counties to administer the program. The feds generally match the state dollar-for-dollar on mandatory programs."
"There also are other taxpayer costs -- especially through local governments -- but those are the biggies for the state. Add them all up and the state spends well over $5 billion a year on illegal immigrants and their families.
Of course, illegal immigrants do pay state taxes. But no way do they pay enough to replenish what they're drawing in services. Their main revenue contribution would be the sales tax, but they can't afford to be big consumers, and food and prescription drugs are exempt."
At this point he also ignores the money the illegals are sending back to their home countries that does not stay in the California economy. Also like the stated number of illegal immigrants in the country his costs numbers may also be low. But, it is a start that even a papers like the LA Times are starting to realize there is a downside and a cost to taxpayers for unchecked illegal immigration. As Skelton rightly observes:
"Meanwhile, California should be honest about the costs. Illegal immigrants are not the sole cause of the state's deficit. But they are a drain."
That truth is a refreshing start.

This is a problem? It is for the New York Times
Another crazy headline from todays New York Times:
Only the ultra liberal editors at the New York Times could find a problem with the fact that the welfare system of the U.S. is not growing and costing U.S. taxpayers more tax dollars. That is what President Bill Clinton and the Republicans had hoped would happen in 1996 when Bill Clinton pledged to "end welfare as we know it". Hello New York Times the system is working there is no need to fix it.

Bush in Africa
"COTONOU, Benin - President Bush opened a coast-to-coast journey through Africa on Saturday by highlighting how U.S. aid can help a small western African nation like Benin develop and save lives. "- Associated Press
"Those dollars come with great compassion," Bush told Thomas Boni Yayi, the president of Benin. "We care when we see suffering. We believe we're all children of God."
Who exactly is this "we" George?
