STUPID SHIT CHUCK SCHUMER SAYS:“Illegal immigration will be a thing of the past,”

Democratic New York Senator Charles Schumer is truly delusional or just lying if he believes "Illegal immigration will be a thing of the past"  if the Gang of Eight backroom Comprehensive immigration reform deal passes. But, of course liberal Democrats like Schumer have a history of being delusional or lying to the American people. Here is exhibit A:

1965: "The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs."-Senator Ted Kennedy

DNC: DECOMPOSING TED KENNEDY'S PERFORMANCE

Well,  the Democratic National convention got underway last night and was highlighted by Michelle (all this for a flag?) Obama. Who declared she now loves her husband more today than four years ago. Really? Too bad many in the country don't feel the same.

The there was the appearance of Ted (dead) Kennedy speaking to us from the grave or Hell as the case may be. Unfortunately, Mary Jo Kopeckne did not accompany him on the big screen. It's also been four years since Ted Kennedy threw Hillary Clinton under the bus with his endorsement of Obama. Perhaps that's why Hillary is nowhere in sight. 

Of course he was there to attack Mitt Romney but, there was no mention about how wrong limo Liberals like Ted Kennedy have been over the years. But, since the Dems are so eager to dig up the corpse of Ted Kennedy for political gain perhaps some quotes from the decomposing "liberal lion" are in order to show how wrong Liberals like Kennedy and Obama can be on the issues like illegal immigration. Here's some of Ted Kennedy's faulty insights over the years in his own words:

Pretty much shows the failure of the Liberal logic over the years and why liberals like Obama should not be given another four more years.

IMMIGRATION: HOW LIBERALS GOT IT WRONG!

William McGowen has a look back to the the 1965 immigration act and how Liberals like Ted Kennedy and those at the New York Times got it wrong and shaded their reporting. Here are some of the money quotes:

OBAMA AND TEDDY ROOSEVELT? NOT EVEN CLOSE!

So President Obama attempted to equate himself with Teddy Roosevelt. Not even close. Well you could cite the difference in military and executive experience between the two but, that would too obvious. No, there are other areas where Teddy Roosevelt would in no uncertain terms show Obama a thing or two where he is failing the country. Here is some of the money quotes from our misguided Commander and Chief:

Same rules Obama? Please don't make me laugh! How about the millions of illegal immigrants that you are allowing to remain here in this country. Are they playing by the same rules? When they steal someones identity is that fair.  When illegal immigrants undercut the wages of American workers in the construction and other industries yet you do nothing to stop it. Is that fair?  Hmmmm, now what would Teddy Roosevelt say about that? How about:

 "No man is above the law and no man is below it: nor do we ask any man's permission when we ask him to obey it." -Theodore Roosevelt

In fact the Obama Administration does everything in it's power to stop anybody that attempts to make sure that illegal immigrants obey our laws. As the Obama Administration  has done over and over in Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina. No, sir when it comes to making sure American laws are obeyed Obama and the Democrats do everything in their power to make sure they not enforced. They even go further as to release those illegals who have broken out laws back into U.S. communities. As Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitiano recently admitted.

No President Obama the only Teddy that you should compare yourself with is this one:

The Lying Liberal Lion Ted Kennedy Dies

I sometimes wonder if Barack Obama carries a big bundle of bad karma around with him. Considering all the people who have died that have be associated with him. There was his mother who died very young, his father in a car accident. The grandmother who raised him who died never knowing whether he ever became President. Now comes Ted Kennedy whose endorsement of Obama helped push him ahead of Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Presidential nomination.


I'm a registered Democrat but, I don't put Kennedy on a pedestal as Liberal Democrats do. He certainly was no profile in courage and his positions are often way off the mark as his comments on the illegal immigration through the years have shown:

Then there was how he used his power to help kill the offshore windmill generation project off of Martha's Vineyard because it would ruin the views of he and his elitist neighbors. Then there was his behavior and complicity in the death of Mary Jo Kopeckne. If the Internet had been around when Kennedy drove his car off the bridge I doubt his political career would have survived as long as it did.

Ted Kennedy's Great White Hope

When it comes to hypocrites Ted Kennedy is right up there with the best of them. Sometimes it seems establishment pols like Kennedy put their fingers in the wind to see which way the wind is blowing before they make a move. Except of course when it comes to putting wind generators in areas where they might "spoil" the views of the Kennedy's and their wealthy neighbors. Though Ted Kennedy's political judgement and posturing over the years is always good for a few laughs. It seems to me that Kennedy's endorsement of Obama and his message requires that crusty old Washington politicians like Kennedy be thrown out of D.C. ASAP. Here is the money quote:
"He also rebutted their contention that Obama has been inconsistent in his opposition to the war in Iraq and said Obama represents a new era and a rejection of "old politics." -Washington Post
Rejection of the old politics indeed. Just the kind of politics that geezer pols like Ted Kennedy practice everyday. The Kennedy's had better be careful what they wish for. Because when Obama says change in Washington he may really mean it!

Finally! Some enforcement of immigration laws.

It took a while but, there are hopeful signs that a few more people in Washington D.C. are finally getting it when it comes to enforcement of illegal immigrant laws. That includes President Bush amazing as it seems. My optimism comes from yesterday's announcement from Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff that the Federal Government will begin a campaign to tighten border security and to crackdown on employers who hire illegal immigrants. While it is being portrayed as some new initiative by the Federal Government. Those of us who have followed this issue closely know it should simply be called ENFORCING THE LAW! A concept so simple that even an illiterate illegal immigrant can understand it even if some of our politicians don't. Of course there are some who are against even enforcing the law and sad to say many are Democrats. Here are some of the money quotes:

"Sadly, the administration's proposal would make our immigration crisis worse," said Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), one of the key negotiators of the compromise immigration bill that failed in the Senate. "[It] will only exacerbate the already serious problems of our immigration system by causing even more confusion about who can be hired, resulting in the unjust firings of legal workers who look foreign and driving more hardworking people into the shadows."

I'm still trying to figure why a Senator like Ted Kennedy would be against enforcing existing U.S. laws? Perhaps it has something to do with the illegal bootlegging origins of his families wealth. Whatever the reason on the issue of illegal immigration Ted Kennedy still makes me laugh.

"The impact on immigrant-dependent industries such as construction and agriculture -- whose workforce is at least two-thirds illegal -- would be "devastating," predicted Craig Regelbrugge, government relations director for the American Nursery & Landscape Association."

Well, you can certainly see how corrupt the industry Mr. Regelbrugge represents is. Especially when one of their arguments is: Hey we break the law everyday it will be a hardship for the companies I represent to actually obey U.S. laws. It's a pretty pathetic argument. But, he reinforces it further with this quote:

"There's no replacement workforce," he said. "This will give people a set of bad choices: Either they terminate their workers, or they take a deep breath and duck and hope the law doesn't catch up with them. Or, for a lot of people, they're just going to make the decision to get out of the business."

Yes, there is a replacement workforce Mr, Regelbrugge. But, it is a lawful workforce. There are millions of people willing to come here and work legally through a work visa program. Though this may require the companies you represent to pay a higher salary and both the companies and employees to actually pay taxes like the rest of us citizens do. As far as going out of business. If the companies Mr. Rugelbrugge represents can not do business without breaking the law perhaps they have the wrong business model to begin with.

Why Senator Ted Kennedy makes me laugh!

Mark Krikorian has come up with a number of quotes on illegal immigration over the years from limo liberal Senator Ted Kennedy who is one of the leaders of the gang of 12 attempting to railroad S1348 the Senate Illegal Immigration Amnesty Bill through the Senate. They are amusing in a pathetic sort of way:

For the first time in five years, President Bush will attend the Senate Republicans' weekly policy lunch today as he pushes to revive his moribund overhaul of the nation's immigration laws.-Washington Post

Today President Bush travels to Capitol Hill and attemps to spend whatever political capital he has left by attempting to push an immigration amnesty bill which the American people instinctivly know is a repeat of the failed 1986 immigration amnesty bill. That 1986 immigration bill granted a one time amnesty when there were only three million illegals in the United States. Now there are an estimated twelve million and Bush and some Senators like Ted Kennedy, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham want to give another amnesty. Doing the same thing over and expecting different results is a definition of insanity. Welcome to Bushworld!

Whew! America dodged another one. Cloture vote fails!

Michelle Malkin does a top notch job on reporting on the days events as the gang of 12 in the Senate to ram the Senate Illegal Immigrant Amnesty Bill through against the wishes of the American people. A small victory for the American taxpayer but, I have a sense that this is not over.

Liars club in Washington D.C. yesterday where President Bush, Michael Chertoff and some Republicans like John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Democrats Ted Kennedy and others attempted to put lipstick on a pig otherwise know as the Senate Illegal Immigrant Amnesty Bill to be debated on Monday. Where to begin? Let's see...

The Immigration insanity of Washington D.C.

It has been said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. To see definition we need look no further than a Washington Post article today that outlines the Immigration reform bill coming out from behind the closed doors meetings in Washington. Where to begin how bad this bill is?
"Senate negotiators reached a tentative agreement yesterday on a broad overhaul of the nation's immigration laws that would offer virtually all of the nation's 12 million undocumented workers <[BCP Mainstream media bias alert! should read "illegal immigrant"] a route to legal status while shifting migration preferences away from the extended families of citizens toward more skilled and educated workers."
TRANSLATION: You don't have to respect our laws in the U.S. since you have broken our laws for so many years we will let you stay. Just like we did in 1986. Tell others in your country to do the same because they too will be allowed to stay as long as they hide long enough in the future!

"Under the tentative deal, undocumented workers who crossed into the country before Jan. 1 would be offered a temporary-residency permit while they await a new "Z Visa" that would allow them to live and work lawfully here. The head of an illegal-immigrant household would have eight years to return to his or her home country to apply for permanent legal residence for members of the household, but each Z Visa itself would be renewable indefinitely, as long as the holder passes a criminal background check, remains fully employed and pays a $5,000 fine, plus a paperwork-processing fee."
TRANSLATION: The illegal head of the household would be able to continue to live and work here in the U.S. and his family can keep using social services, sending his children to the local schools after violating U.S. laws before January 1st 2007. Oh yes I almost forgot there is a punitive component. Some time in eight years he has to go back home and visit is family from the country he left and then reenter the United States. Oh and he also has to pay a $5,000 fine and a paperwork fee. Uh huh, meanwhile it will be costing local taxpayers $10,000 per year to educate each of his children. But, of course the Washington pols like Ted Kennedy, John McCain and others who cooked up this deal for the illegals are not concerned about these costs to the local middle class taxpayers.

"To satisfy Republicans, those provisions would come in force only after the federal government implements tough new border controls and a crackdown on employers that hire illegal immigrants. Republicans are demanding 18,000 new Border Patrol agents, 370 miles of additional border fencing and an effective, electronic employee-verification system for the workplace."
Wait a minute wasn't a border fence approved last year? Isn't it illegal for employers to hire illegals today under existing laws? What skillful negotiators those Republicans are. They actually think they got something when they really got nothing! What idiots they are!

"This is not the architecture of an immigration bill that I would have initially liked to see," conceded Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (Mass.), the Democrats' chief negotiator, "but we're not dealing with that. This is a legislative process." -

Limo liberals like Ted Kennedy is going to have a good laugh on his porch in Hyannis Port this summer as he watches the former illegal immigrant cut his lawn knowing that the middle class taxpayer will be subsidizing the cost of the guy for years to come.

Dumbocrats on parade!

As a registered Democrat it just disgusts me to see Democratic Senator Harry "sellout" Reid attempt to push the McCain/Kennedy/Bush amnesty bill through the Senate. The Democrats just don't get it the PEOPLE of this country do not want a repeat of the failed immigration policy of 1986 but, the Democrats are just pandering to get the Hispanic vote not doing what is right for the country and representing the wishes of the electorate. Here is exhibit A from the Washington Post:
"Democratic negotiators agreed. Democratic leaders, who are fighting for the loyalty of the fast-growing Latino electorate, have no desire to embrace legislation that could end up alienating the voters they are trying to woo."

Someone needs to tell these Dumbocrats that they had better start to do what is good for the country and not pander to special interest groups or they may be in for a surprise at the voting booths as the Republicans were during the last election. Maybe this Dear Colleague from Senator Jeff Sessions will show them how flawed the bill they want to debate is and the costs to the American taxpayers.

Policy made behind closed doors does not work!

President Bush did another smoke and mirrors show in the White house Rose garden yesterday to give the appearance that this former oil man actually is concerned about the high price of oil. It seems the Bush Administration was more concerned about keeping the names of those who attended the behind closed door meeting to discuss energy policy several years ago. Does the White house really think anyone really believes the President anymore?
"We're taking action by taking the first steps toward rules that will make our economy stronger, our environment cleaner and our nation more secure," Bush said."

Excuse me while I spit! Meanwhile, across town the Democrats are doing their own little deal behind closed doors regarding illegal immigration. The back room meetings the Bush Administration held was wrong and the illegal immigration meetings pushed by the Democrats to pass the McCain/Kennedy amnesty bill is wrong also. I'm sure whatever emerges will not be in the best interests of the American taxpayer. Harry Reid will be attempting to push the legislation on illegal immigration to a vote. Someone needs to remind Senator Reid that the illegal immigration issue is to important to America to not have a full debate and allow time for people to look at the bill that emerges from behind closed doors. Perhaps Mitt Romney had the money quote:
"McCain-Kennedy gives benefits to illegals that would cost taxpayers millions. And more importantly: Amnesty didn't work 20 years ago, and it won't work today."

What the middle class community will see but, Washington does not!

Who are we to believe those in Washington or our own lying eyes? The Washington Post has a story about what will be happening in more and more suburban neighborhoods. The issue is overcrowding in suburban houses by immigrants. Here are the money quotes:

"Elsa DeLeon, a Honduran immigrant, was cited for overcrowding in February by county inspectors who found that her basement on Hanover Avenue in Springfield had been illegally divided into four bedrooms. She said the county is interfering with her right to care for her large extended family."

What about respecting the law? Is that to much to ask of these "new" immigrants?

But, Harry Gault sumed it up best:
"I don't mind an Hispanic neighborhood," said Gault, 73. "But they've turned a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home into a nine-room boarding house."

McCain was done a long time ago.

Howard Kurtz in today's Washington Post has an article about how the press no longer find John McCain their media darling. Here are some of the money quotes:

"When McCain deviates from Republican orthodoxy, it's brave. When McCain deviates from the elite media's orthodoxy, they write that he's not brave, which is unfair. There's a bit of a negative bandwagon going on."

The mainstream media press (especially inside the beltway) and many politicians like McCain just don't get it. There is a new kid (the internet) in town and word gets out fast and no longer just goes through the filter of these mainstream media elites. Kurtz's piece gives the mainstream journalists way to much credit for McCain's poll numbers. Those of us who lurk around political bulletin boards knew McCain was going nowhere as soon as McCain started tongue kissing limousine liberals like Ted Kennedy and proposing amnesty for illegals who have broken our immigration laws. Because of his dance with Kennedy he is know as John McCave! Even at the FAIR HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE anti illegal immigration rally which was made up of a lot of citizens from western states like Arizona there was no love for McCain (See the above photo). So the elite mainstream press can think they have this great influence on McCain's poll numbers. When actually it's an informed electorate that decides the fate of candidates especially on issues like illegal immigration.

The delusion of John McCain

John McCain is done! Only the talking head Washington pundents, mainstream media and John McCain don't know it yet. It's not that he is standing behind blundering boy Bush on the Iraq debacle. He also lost his conservative base when he started tongue kissing with Ted Kennedy on amnesty for illegal immigrants. Something the mainstream media has been ignoring until recently. It's sad because I think John McCain would have made a good President had he defeated George Bush in the 2000 Republican primaries. But, between his stand on Iraq and his stand on illegal immigration amnesty he has become delusional and out of touch with the country as much as George W. Bush has been.
