ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS BEHAVING BADLY: Amine El Khalifi

"An immigrant from Morocco armed with an automatic weapon and wearing what he thought was a suicide vest packed with explosives was arrested near the U.S. Capitol building in Washington by FBI agents who had been closely monitoring him in an undercover sting operation, officials announced Friday.

Amine El Khalifi, 29, who allegedly had overstayed his visa after first arriving in the U.S. when he was 16, was charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction against government property. He faces a sentence of life in prison if convicted."- LA TIMES

What's even more disturbing than that this 29 year old immigrant behaving badly was planning on bombing the U.S. Capitol and killing as many people as he could. Is that he is in the U.S. illegally and has been since he overstayed his Visa when he was 16 years old.  How long does it take our Federal Government to really start enforcing U.S immigration laws! How many U.S. citizens are going to have to die before those in Washington finally WAKE UP and understand illegal immigration is a national security issue! How many more illegals are out there hiding under the radar for years like this fellow just waiting to do some damage here in the United States.

TRUTH, LIES AND VIDEO TAPE FROM WASHINGTON

So I'm listening to WCBS Newsradio in New York and the CBS network news comes on and says several members of the Congressional Black caucaus namely John Lewis and Emanual Cleaver D-Mo. where called "nigger' by protesters against President Obama's healthcare bill. Also one of the congressmen was spat upon. Here is how it was reported by McClatchy news:

"Lewis said he was leaving the Cannon office building across from the Capitol when protesters shouted "Kill the bill, kill the bill," Lewis said.
"I said 'I'm for the bill, I support the bill, I'm voting for the bill'," Lewis said.
A colleague who was accompanying Lewis said people in the crowd responded by saying "Kill the bill, then the n-word."
"It surprised me that people are so mean and we can't engage in a civil dialogue and debate," Lewis said. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver , D- Mo. , said he was a few yards behind Lewis and distinctly heard "nigger."

McClatchy tried to blame the "Tea Party".  The only problem is this did not happen. But, the pack mentality of today's mainstream media once again fails to verify the facts for us . Lucky for us as the famous quote about blogging says "WE CAN FACT CHECK YOUR ASS!" Which is what is shown here:


Do you hear anyone yelling the "N" word? Notice that a few in the Lewis's entourage are carrying camera phones too. Don't you think if they had video proof of such calls we would have seen it by now? All we have is the word of Congressman Cleaver and you know how much the word of a member of congress is worth. Just another example why one should not trust the mainstream media to provide the facts of what is really going on Washington.

Obama meets the press.

President Obama had his first Presidential news conference last night and it was refreshing. He answered the questions well and was specific. A good start in my opinion. Still he was trying to put lipstick on a pig of a stimulus bill. Which he admits is still not perfect. There were some good points made that bringing energy efficiency to Federal buildings would not only create jobs but, would save money (for us taxpayers) down the road. He should expand that to exsisting local schools so that we taxpayers will also benefit from the savings too. This to me is a good idea. Along with making sure that teachers can teach and if they can't get rid of them. We don't have unlimited money to waste on anything.
I think his using the unemployment figures in Elkhart Indiana as an example of the fear mongering he is supposed to abhor. There's no doubt that Elkhart has a unfortunately high unemployment rate. That's why Obama's people choose to go there for the road show. But, what is not emphasised enough is the main industry in Elkhart is RV (Recreational Vehicles) that get something like 10 miles to the gallon. Well duh! That would be one product that U.S. citizens are not going to be buying in an economic downturn. Of course that industry will suffer. Companies stay in business by making products people want and need. Not by having the Federal Government just throw money out there and hope it hits something. I wish Obama and Congress would understand that.

Krazy Krugman/Washington economics

We are hearing a lot about how the Obama Administration and congress is going to an "economic stimulus" program. Which sounds all well and good considering how screwed up the economy is thanks to the sub prime debacle. Of course there are some detractors saying it is too expensive and is not worth it. I have not been following the details too closely what little there are. But, New York Times columnist/economist Paul Krugman tries to explain the costs and why it's worth it. He may have won a Nobel Prize in Economics but I am not impressed. here are the money quotes:

"First, there’s the bogus talking point that the Obama plan will cost $275,000 per job created. Why is it bogus? Because it involves taking the cost of a plan that will extend over several years, creating millions of jobs each year, and dividing it by the jobs created in just one of those years."

Okay so far. Of course opponents will try an exaggerate the cost of the program. So liberal Krugman has a point here. But, he then goes on:

"The true cost per job of the Obama plan will probably be closer to $100,000 than $275,000 — and the net cost will be as little as $60,000 once you take into account the fact that a stronger economy means higher tax receipts."

The true cost is closer to $100,000 per job? Even at a cost of $60,000 it's still an outrageous cost per job! He can't be serious can he? How about the government give say $10.000 to U.S. citizens who have owned our homes for x number of years. We'll create jobs by putting on new roofs, windows etc.. on our houses. I need to mount some solar panels on my roof that are currently taking up space in my living room. I'll spend money buying some solar frames to do that. That would be a better way to stimulate the economy than to spend $100,000 to create a $50,000 dollar job. Only in Washington D.C. and in the mind of a liberal economist does spending this kind of money make sense.

Why am I not surprised

While Nancy Pelosi and her liberal dumbocrats continue to cave in on issues like this just like they have been doing on everything from the Iraq war vote, wire taping and giving immunity to the telcom companies. With this latest flip flop on offshore oil drilling we will increase and extend our dependence on oil and push back development of new technologies. As for me I spent yesterday doing a preliminary checkout of a new 48 volt solar panel I recently bought. I am not waiting for anyone in Washington to promote any "alternative energy" proposals. Especially not the weasel Democrats.

John Edwards: The lying lawyer Democrat

I get angry thinking that I might have actually voted for the lying lawyer John Edwards after he admitted his having sex with his f&^k buddy aka mistress. I am so sick of these elite Washington pols who screw up and ask for forgiveness after they are caught screwing people other than their spouse. Gay bathroom scandals from both parties.

According to the Washington Post Senator Larry Craig will resign today. While many are piling on about the hypocrisy of this Republican Craig caught soliciting a Police Officer in an airport bathroom. I am reminded of the Democrats own scandal regarding former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreavy . Who resigned after it was found out he put his gay lover on the government payroll (which I think is more despicable because it cost taxpayers money). I sometimes travel by car from Long Island to Washington D.C. and use the rest areas on the New Jersey Turnpike from time to time. During Mcgreavy's tenure they remodeled the bathrooms at the Turnpike rest areas. At some of the newly remodeled bathrooms there were no dividers between the urinals. It seemed to me the urinals were designed so that private parts were pretty much exposed. I remember thinking this was strange for a public bathroom and that gays and pedophiles would have a field day in these rest rooms. These two scandals and their connection with public restrooms bathrooms strikes me as very ironic.

A Spector is rising on illegal immigration.

Just when I thought that the Senate might have gotten the message from the American on what to do about illegal immigration. Along comes Republican Senator Arlen Spector with "a new plan". According to The Hill Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.), who accompanied President Bush (this is always a bad sign) Thursday ( on his visit to Pennsylvania, said he has spoken to Bush and the two Cabinet members who have led immigration talks about his new bill. Here are some of the money quotes:

But he would leave intact the family reunification standard that this spring’s defunct immigration bill partially replaced with a skills-based system

That's moving the country forward Senator Spector. Just what this country needs allowing more low wage uneducated workers to bring their families in to the country instead of giving priority to those with the skills needed to help America keep it's edge in the technological world.

The lone change in the status of the 12 million, Specter said, would be removing their status as fugitives from justice, an attempt to diminish their incentive to remain outside the system and in fear of deportation.

Why not just say it Senator. It's another AMNESTY!

Specter added that he already has met with “stakeholders” from outside groups involved in the complex immigration debate, and he plans to hold more sit-downs next week. Offering green cards to immigrants seeking employment in the high-tech industry is under consideration, he said.

Stakeholders Senator? How about the American people. Looks like its time to send Senator Byron Dorgon to have a little chat with Senator Spector to remind him who the real "stakeholders" are..

The House yesterday passed a far-reaching new farm bill that preserves the existing system of subsidies for commercial farmers and adds billions of dollars for conservation, nutrition and new agricultural sectors.-Washington Post

While it may just be coincidence that the House passed the farm bill on a summer Friday when most people are away on vacations. Friday is usually the day Washington known as take out the trash day. The day when if you are a politician you like to put out the bad news in the hopes that the public or some curious journalists may not notice. Like I said it may just be coincidence but, here is the money quote:

What a surprise! This is why I don't wait for Washington to solve the country's energy problems. I have my own energy policy which is to keep as much money in my pocket and put less into the wallets of the Texans and Saudis. And it is working! In fact sometimes to much. This week the BCP energy plan is to cover up the solar panels on the roof because the sun is causing too much heat to be contained in the storage tank. That is my energy plan this week.

U.S. Immigration laws are merely a suggestion?

Shankar Vedantam in the Washington Post has an article on why our leaders in Washington D.C. have failed us on immigration and why they will continue to fail the citizens of this country if the Senate Amnesty Bill is passed. Here are some of the money quotes:

"Husak and Solum, legal theorists and philosophers, argue that laws on immigration are part of a broad pattern. In recent decades, they say, Congress has passed innumerable laws that no one seriously expects will be enforced. Such laws largely seem to serve symbolic purposes and are often designed to placate some powerful constituency -- conservatives in the case of immigration, or the entertainment industry in the case of laws that seek to deter people from swapping copyrighted music and movies."

No one seriously expects to be enforced? I think the American people actually want our immigration laws enforced. It is Congress has yet to learn that when they make laws they actually have to enforce them. They did not do it in 1986 when there were three million illegals in the U.S. and now they want to do the same thing when there are 12 million illegals. "Stupid is as stupid does" as Forrest Gump would say.

"When we set up laws that are intended to express symbolic disapproval, but that we are not willing to enforce, we send a message that we are not expecting people to obey the law," Solum said. "The immigration laws are a perfect example of that."

And if the Senate Amnesty Bill passes the stupid Senators who vote for this bill will be sending that message to the world once again!

My girlfriend attended Al Gore's lecture and book signing in Washington D.C. this past week. As she went up to the table for him to sign her book. She thanked him for all the hard work he has done on environmental issues. To which he replied "Of course" We are still trying to figure that answer out.

Bozo Bush speaks on illegal immigration but, ignores U.S. laws!

Now that our President has become a surrender monkey and admits he can not and will not enforce U.S. laws inside U.S. borders the Dems have an opportunity to bring impeacment proceedings against him for failing to protect the United States from illegal aliens and enforce the immigration laws. But, I am not holding my breath waitng for such action.

Silent Amnesty? How about some yelling voters!

You can certainly see who is taking orders from the gang of 12 Senators and our dumb ass President who are trying to railroad the Senate Amnesty bill for illegal immigrants. Of course there is the surrender monkey Michael Chertoff our "Homeland Security" Secretary. Who all of a sudden decides that he can no longer enforce laws inside the United States. He stated that if the Senate Amnesty Bill does not pass it will in effect be creating a "SILENT AMNESTY" for illegals.
Then there is Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano who is also drinking the Kennedy/McCain/Bush Amnesty kool aid talking points. She has also used the "Silent Amnesty" phrase talking points in talking about her support for the Amnesty Bill.

If the Senate Amnesty Bill is not passed (and hopefully it won't) there will only be a "silent amnesty" if the Federal Government continues to fail to enforce our current immigration laws. You might be surprised what happens when people do their jobs and laws are enforced. Maybe just as surprised as the Senators who vote for the Senate Amnesty bill should be when they are voted out of office.

As the Washington Post reports a lot of Senate Republicans are outraged by the Bush/McCain/Kennedy proposed Senate amnesty bill. But, so is Senator Robert Menendez a New Jersey Dumbocrat who was involved in the back room dealings that created the sham Senate illegal immigrant amnesty bill and is now complaining about it. Here are some of the money quotes from his website:

"WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), a key negotiator in closed door Senate meetings on immigration reform, today voiced his objections to the agreement announced. Menendez said he could not support the limitations in the family reunification program, the temporary nature of the worker program, and the unrealistically high fees that undocumented immigrants would have to pay."

So according to Senator Menendez it is not enough that the American people have to grant amnesty to 12 million people who have ignored and violated our laws. We also have to allow them to bring their families. Let's see 12 million illegals, a wife, two children (conservative estimate), brother, sister, mom and dad. So we could be talking about 76 million people conservatively added to the population of the United States in a very short amount of time. Along with the social services, schools and other costs. But, of course George Bush and Dumbocrats like Menendez are not thinking about these costs to local taxpayers they are Federal officials they don't have to. But, Menendez is worried about some costs. The cost of the fine the illegals would have to pay under the bill for violating our laws. He calls the fine "unrealistically high" Oh my. It will cost taxpayer about $10,000 per year to educate each of the illegal immigrants children alone and the Senator thinks a $5,000 fine for breaking our laws for years is too much. Give me a break!

Senator Menendez then had this to say about the bill he was in the backroom negotiating:
"I for one cannot settle for something that isn't responsible, or something that creates a bigger problem than already exists."
Well, Senator Menendez you already have!
