WASHINGTON POST AGAIN BURIES THE FACTS ABOUT ANOTHER ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CRIME
Wednesday, April 03, 2013
ASSociated Press: Drops "illegal immigrant" from Style Book
It's clear that the "appallingly pathetic" Associated Press "news" gathering organization has sunk to a new low on what is considered the truth in journalism. The asinine logic and explanation from the Senior Vice President and Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll can be read here. Here are some of the money quotes:
"The Stylebook no longer sanctions the term “illegal immigrant” or the use of “illegal” to describe a person. Instead, it tells users that “illegal” should describe only an action, such as living in or immigrating to a country illegally."
By the same logic a "rapist" should be known as a person who enters a vagina without authorization. Perhaps a burglar or home invader should be called an unauthorized house guest. George Orwell must be spinning in his grave over this pathetic attempt at political correctness expressed by this so called "news" organization.
Even Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is not dumb enough to believe this nonsense from AP:
"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told reporters last week that she didn’t ”really get caught up in the vocabulary wars.”
Though Jay Leno may have the real explanation for this Orwellian slight of hand made by the ASSociated Press for this change.
BTW you can let the AP how you feel about this here: stylebook@ap.orgstylebook@ap.org

RACHEL MADDOW and TWITTERGATE?
Seems TWITTER has now suspended a number of these bogus Twitter accounts.- More Here
Meanwhile over at MESSNBC they have released a non disclaimer disclaimer on Twitter:
"RT @msnbcPR Spam on #maddow hashtag is not coming from the show or any producers. Have reached out to Twitter to investigate"
Notice that non denial denial? The tweets are not coming from the "show" or "any producers". Uh Huh. But, they might be coming from an outside company hired to put those Tweets out there.
Hmmmm it seems somebody out there in media journalism should be grilling Vivian Schiller NBC' Chief Digital Officer about this? Why? Here is exhibit A:
"If you ever find yourself awake past the witching hour, sleeplessly scrolling Twitter, take comfort in knowing that NBC News chief digital strategist Vivian Schiller is right there with you.
“I’m up for two or three hours in the middle of the night,” Schiller told me. “But my saving grace is Twitter.”-Niemanlab
After screwing up as head of NPR she was saved from corporate oblivion by the now departed Steve Capus NBC News President. It's not hard to believe Twittergate may have originated somewhere in the offices of 30 Rock to bump Maddow's rating on twitter. Somebody in media journalism needs to check this out. I'm talking to you Brian Stelter!
BLOG UPDATE: It seems other MSNBC shows have been using similar multiple messages from Twitter accounts to boost the profile of Morning Joe and The ED SHOW on MSNBC. MORE HERE

ABC NEWS FAIL!: Martha Raddatz
"On Friday it was revealed that the FBI is investigating Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) for allegedly sleeping with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.
Despite this, when Menendez was given a six-minute interview with Martha Raddatz on ABC's This Week Sunday, he was not asked one question about the investigation"-Newsbusters
I guess it's too much to expect liberal mainstream "journalists" like ABC's Martha Raddatz to have a sitting Democratic Senator like Robert Mendenez under investigation for having sex with an underage prostitute to question him about it. Just like she did not ask him about the illegal immigrant and sex offender that was found working on his staff. Of course when someone named Barry Obama attends your wedding you don't make Democrats look bad do you?

NBC NEWS? DARE NOT CALL IT JOURNALISM ANYMORE!
"— jennifer bendery (@jbendery) December 4, 2012
So... in the last hour, I watched Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton and Lawrence O'Donnell all walk into the West Wing. MSNBC love fest?"
.
It is truly amazing how the suits at Comcast can allow the NBC NEWS brand to be further degraded and used by the Obama Administration as their blatant propaganda arm. Meanwhile NBC News President Steve Capus seems only to willing to put another nail into the coffin of what use to be known as journalism at NBC. Today several of the NBC News division's on air talent had another private meeting with President Obama. But, this is not the first time these lapdogs from NBC News have been been guests at the White House. In fact Rachel Maddow has been a "guest" there over a half dozen times. How many times have average middle class Americans been invited to the White House for a little one on one chat with Obama. I don't know about you but, I'm still waiting for my invitation.

WASHINGTON POST DOES A HIT JOB ON HISPANICS BUT, ONLY REPUBLICAN ONES
Well, it looks like the Washington Post has giving up on journalism and being the paper of record recently and is now carry water for the Democratic Party. This was painfully obvious after they ran a now discredited hit piece on Florida's Republican Senator Marco Rubio by Manual Roig-Franzi. A reporter who always seems to have some nice things to say about the Castro regime. Whereas Marco Rubio and many Cuban exiles do not. But, I think Steve Kruiser nailed it on why the liberal editors of the Washington Post allowed this hit piece to be printed. :
"Nothing frightens Democrats more than a minority voter who is a registered Republican. It severely disrupts the meme that the GOP is still secretly getting fitted for Klan hoods at party meetings. Democrats begin to sweat severely when said Republican begins to rise to prominence and they need to get the message out that this will not stand. That is why Rubio was immediately labeled a “risk” and Herman Cain was dismissed as “Pizza Man.”-Steve Kruiser
Then of course this is the same paper that knowingly had an illegal immigrant Jose-Antonio-Vargas working as a reporter at their paper for several years and said nothing until the story broke in the New York Times Magazine. Even then they only covered it in the "Style" section. Pretty pathetic for even a liberal "news" organization like the Washington Post. No wonder people don't trust media outlets like the Wahington Post to actually report the news these days.

TINA BROWN'S DAILY BEAST IS CLUELESS ON IMMIGRATION ISSUE
Mickey Kaus exposes just how clueless Tina Brown's DAILY BEAST is when it come to immigration issues. Here are the money quotes:
"Tina’s Teens Home Without Adult Supervision: Tina Brown’s youthful webworkers, trying to come up with a feature riffing off the Republican debate, have produced a slideshow of “anchor babies.” The only problem is that, embarrassingly, they missed the part in the definition of an “anchor baby” (including the one they themselves cite) where it notes that an “anchor baby” is the child of illegal immigrants born on American soil (the idea being that having an American citizen child anchors the entire otherwise-illegal family by insulating them from deportation)."
Kaus also explains why this happens at liberal media outlets like the DAILY BEAST:
"Note that this is the classic insulated New York liberal mistake"
This just shows how dumb and sloppy the reporting is at the DAILY BEAST under Tina Brown's leadership.

RATIGAN & TIABBI: JOURNALISTS OR ANARCHIST ADVISORS?
The crowd sourcing that is going on as a result of the document dump by Andrew Breitbart has uncovered some interesting connections between "mainstream" media outlets like MSNBC and the Occupation Wall Street anarchists. Namely Dylan Ratigan's emails advising the Occupy Wall Street protesters and also acting as a conduit to Democrats like Dick Durbin. Also the emails show that Rolling Stone reporter Mike Tiabbi was up to his elbows in advising the Occupy Wall Street anarchists too. Dana Loesh at Big Government has the story and the emails here.

MIKE TIABBI ON THE IMUS PROGRAM YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!
I was surprised to hear Rolling Stone writer Mike Tiabbi as a guest on the IMUS radio program this morning. Tiabbi should be in the running for the Jason Blair award for lazy journalism this year not be given air time. Read this to find out why. I would have thought the IMUS program would have had higher standards for guests. At the very least IMUS should have called him out on the Bachman piece.

OBAMA MAKING STUFF UP AGAIN!
President Obama was caught making stuff up again. This time it was his reasoning for FINALLY releasing his long form birth certificate which he said he decided to do two weeks ago. Jack Tapper at ABC News much to his credit actually does some journalism and looks at the facts. Here is the money quote:
"during that entire week the dominant news story wasn’t about these huge, monumental choices that we’re going to have to make as a nation. It was about my birth certificate. And that was true on most of the news outlets that were represented here.”_President Obama
But the president was wrong.
According to Pew’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, that week the dominant news story was without question the economy. The ridiculous claims about the president’s birth certificate actually was the No. 4 story for the week – receiving about one tenth of the coverage devoted to stories about the economy.
It's good to see there are still some journalists in Washington who are fact checking Obama's statements.

The JournObamalist
If your like me can often smell the bias in Liberal news organizations like NPR a mile away in the stories they cover. When they use terms like "undocumented workers" instead of illegal aliens that is a BIG tip off of the Liberal bias in their editorial decision making. As these so called "news" organization keep losing their audience as people find more truthful analysis of what is really going on online you can hear the increased desperation in their stories. A few of the more Liberal have joined a cabal to come up with a plans to protect their messiah Barrack Obama from getting any bad press. That's what the "O" in their name stands for. Tucker Carlson and crew at the Daily Caller have owned this story. You can see the photos of some of these so called "journalists" from this conspiratorial listserv here. As usual the suspects are mostly white Liberals probably vacationing right now in Martha's Vineyard, Maine and the Hamptons.

TRUTH, LIES AND VIDEO TAPE FROM WASHINGTON
So I'm listening to WCBS Newsradio in New York and the CBS network news comes on and says several members of the Congressional Black caucaus namely John Lewis and Emanual Cleaver D-Mo. where called "nigger' by protesters against President Obama's healthcare bill. Also one of the congressmen was spat upon. Here is how it was reported by McClatchy news:
Do you hear anyone yelling the "N" word? Notice that a few in the Lewis's entourage are carrying camera phones too. Don't you think if they had video proof of such calls we would have seen it by now? All we have is the word of Congressman Cleaver and you know how much the word of a member of congress is worth. Just another example why one should not trust the mainstream media to provide the facts of what is really going on Washington.
"Lewis said he was leaving the Cannon office building across from the Capitol when protesters shouted "Kill the bill, kill the bill," Lewis said.McClatchy tried to blame the "Tea Party". The only problem is this did not happen. But, the pack mentality of today's mainstream media once again fails to verify the facts for us . Lucky for us as the famous quote about blogging says "WE CAN FACT CHECK YOUR ASS!" Which is what is shown here:
"I said 'I'm for the bill, I support the bill, I'm voting for the bill'," Lewis said.
A colleague who was accompanying Lewis said people in the crowd responded by saying "Kill the bill, then the n-word."
"It surprised me that people are so mean and we can't engage in a civil dialogue and debate," Lewis said. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver , D- Mo. , said he was a few yards behind Lewis and distinctly heard "nigger."

Out of Africa and back to a news Obamanation.
We arrived back in Washington D.C. on Saturday after three weeks in Africa. I was out of the "news" loop and away from the MSM for most of the time. Though we did hear of Obama's pick for the Supreme Court from a Brit at bar in Mozambique. Other than that it was pretty much safari's, staring at Victoria Falls, African sunsets or snorkeling on a reef off of Mozambique. So it was with some anticipation that I turned on CNN to see what the important news of the day after a virtual three week news blackout. CNN deemed it wise to use it's news gathering resources and airtime to cover "live" President Obama's motorcade turning onto 46th street to go see a play in New York. This is still what passes for "news" with MSM outlets like CNN. Sad.

GET OUT THE VOTER FRAUD IN OHIO

Daniel Hausman, Amy Little, and Yolanda Hippensteele may soon be checking into the Greybar Hotel after pleading guilty to voter fraud in Ohio during last years Presidential election.
It seems these three along with others were engaged in a "get out the vote" campaign and voted in Ohio even though they had no intention of staying there. Which is against Ohio election laws. Were they just stupid? I don't think so. I mean if you are part of a "get out the vote" organization you would think that they might just know the election laws. Well, the courts have decided that no they were not stupid with the guilty verdict. As the judge said: "rescinding your request is like giving back the money once you've been caught."
As usual most of the mainstream corporate media ignored this story but, some intrepid reporters at Palestra.net dug deep and got the facts and went where others in the media dared not go. There may be hope for journalism if some of these college reporters get jobs in newsrooms and bureaus. They did the reporting that the other "news organizations" should have done. You can see some of the reporting of these young intrepid reporters on the voter fraud issue in Ohio here.

Speaking of journalism.
The Washington Post has an interesting article on a woman named Faye Anderson and who is a blogger and Citizen Journalist. It's an interesting article about the rise of blogs like this one and many others offering critiques, rebuttals and original reporting beyond the what the mainstream media provides or does not cover. It explores this brave new world of information. Here is one of the money quotes:
"It's not you, the journalist, it's the institution," Ms. CJ tells Mr. MSM. "You're not telling the whole story. . . . You've lost your credibility."
BCP UPDATE:
Ms. Anderson reacts in her blog to the Washington Post story about her and those of us who labor in front of the keyboard for no pay other than trying to find the truth and bring it out into the light so others can see it.

Hispanic Journalism BS!
Diggers Realm has a post about how the National Association of Hispanic Journalist want to the U.S. media to make Owellean Journalism the standard when it comes reporting on illegal immigrants. Here is the shovel full of BS they put out in their press release:
"NAHJ is concerned with the increasing use of pejorative terms to describe the estimated 11 million [Illegals] undocumented people living in the United States. NAHJ is particularly troubled with the growing trend of the news media to use the word “illegals” as a noun, shorthand for "illegal aliens". Using the word in this way is grammatically incorrect and crosses the line by criminalizing the [illegal] person, not the action they are purported to have committed. NAHJ calls on the media to never use “illegals” in headlines."
What journalistic nonsense! The illegal immigrants DID break the law when they entered the country ILLEGALLY. They are criminals but, thanks to lack of enforcement by those failure of the folks in the Federal Government have not been caught yet.

NBC affiliate flies the Mexican flag and it's bias in news,

Those of us who have been watching the illegal immigration issue closely are very familiar with the bias of mainstream media outlets like Newsday, Washington Post and other news organizations in covering or not covering illegal immigration issue. But, the KPRC the NBC affiliate in Houston went over the top when a cameraman and reporter for the station flew a Mexican flag from the top of his camera while covering a demonstrations about illegal immigration a few days ago. It's just another reason why you should not get all your news from the mainstream corporate media. So much for ethics in journalism.

Molly Ivans L.I.P.
Molly Ivans died yesterday but, her humor and wit live on. Here are just a few of her quotes as compiled by Joan Johnson Lewis:
I still believe in Hope - mostly because there's no such place as Fingers Crossed, Arkansas.
During a recent panel on the numerous failures of American journalism, I proposed that almost all stories about government should begin: "Look out! They're about to smack you around again!"
I am not anti-gun. I'm pro-knife. Consider the merits of the knife. In the first place, you have to catch up with someone in order to stab him. A general substitution of knives for guns would promote physical fitness. We'd turn into a whole nation of great runners. Plus, knives don't ricochet. And people are seldom killed while cleaning their knives.
I know vegetarians don't like to hear this, but God made an awful lot of land that's good for nothing but grazing
Everyone knows the man has no clue, but no one there has the courage to say it. I mean, good gawd, the man is as he always has been: barely adequate. [on George W. Bush]
Last week, I began a sentence by saying, "If Bush had any imagination ..." and then I hit myself. Silly me.
I don't know where Molly is today Heaven or Hell but, you just know wherever she is she is looking around and making whoever is there including herself laugh. Laugh in Peace Molly.
