QUOTES FROM ILLEGALS CAUGHT CROSSING THE BORDER

" Linda Vickers, who owns a ranch in Brooks County, which is Ground Zero for the immigration debate, pins the blame directly on talk of 'amnesty' and a 'path to citizenship' for people who entered the U.S. illegally.
She recalls one man being arrested on her ranch not long ago.
"The Border Patrol agent was loading one man up, and he told the officer in Spanish, 'Obama's gonna let me go'."
Border Patrol agents report that immigrants are crossing the border, and in some cases surrendering while asking, “Where do I go for my amnesty?” - MORE HERE

It's already being shown down on the border even before any immigration bill is being considered by Congress that:

"WHEN YOU REWARD ILLEGALITY YOU WILL GET MORE OF IT!"

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FUDGING THE DEPORTATION NUMBERS

"Internal documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee show that the Obama administration has been “cooking the books” in order to reach their “record” number of deported illegal immigrants, chairman Rep. Lamar Smith said Friday.

Based on the internal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents, the number of removals are actually down, the opposite of what the administration has been claiming."  -DAILY CALLER

REMEMBERING KRIS EGGLE

“In the wake of 9/11, Kris protected his country by intercepting thousands of pounds of illegal drugs, many weapons, and hundreds of illegal lawbreakers from foreign countries, and by guarding a 31-mile stretch of our nation’s southern boundary. Kris Eggle was shot and killed in the line of duty at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on August 9, 2002, while pursuing members of a drug cartel hit squad who fled into the United States after committing a string of murders in Mexico. He was 28 years old. As a fellow Organ Pipe ranger commented, ‘Kris died serving his country and his death has great value and meaning. But the life of Kris Eggle, even more than his death, continues to set the standard.’”

REMEMBERING BORDER AGENT BRIAN TERRY

U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's died one year ago by a weapon that was part of the Justice Department's flawed Fast and Furious gun running program. Ironically, it is also the day when that same Justice Department announced it is going after Sheriff Joe Arpaio who has been more successful in enforcing the country's immigration laws than the Federal Government has. It seems failure is the modus operandi of the Federal Government when it comes illegal immigration enforcement. The ultimate outrage of Federal Government failures is that it resulted in the death of agents like Brian Terry who was killed by illegal immigrants using those guns:

"We have mourned murdered National Park Service ranger Kris Eggle. And Denver detective Donnie Young. And Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy David March. And Houston police officer Rodney Johnson. And so many more. All are etched in my consciousness permanently, but none have shaken me more than the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry one year ago today. The systemic incompetence, callousness, and corruption that created the conditions for his murder are unfathomable. The cover-up that continues today in the White House is unconscionable."- Michelle Malkin

Perhaps if the Justice Department would be more concerned with stopping those who enter this country illegally and stop going after AMERICANS who are actually on the front lines of protecting this country and stop persecuting them or allowing illegaly purchased guns to walk back across the border justice would have been served and Brian Terry would still be alive.

Libby, Bushworld and the world of Ramos & Compean

"We were all told to stay away from it," said an old Bush friend from Texas who is close to Libby and would not speak for attribution. "When we called over there, they said the president is well aware of the situation, so don't raise it. None of us lobbied him because they told us not to."-Washington Post

I get angry when I hear about the Libby defenders talk about the outrage of Scooter Libby's conviction. Only in Bushworld would a lying creep like Scooter Libby get his sentence commuted by President Bush and never see the inside of a jail and some real hero's of this country like Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean still langush in prison cells. I guess the difference is that while Libby was lying to protect the Vice President. The only thing Ramos and Compean were doing was protecting the country's borders. Welcome to Bushworld!

Burning down our house.

U.S. Border Patrol agents seeking to secure the nation's border in some of the country's most pristine national forests are being targeted by illegal aliens, who are using intentionally set fires to burn agents out of observation posts and patrol routes.
The wildfires have destroyed valuable natural and cultural resources in the National Forest System and pose an ongoing threat to visitors, residents and responding firefighters, according to federal law-enforcement authorities and others
.- Washington Times

Stories like this make me wonder what it takes to get the attention of the Bush administration and those in Washington pushing the S1348 Senate Amnesty bill as to what is going on at our country's borders. Perhaps if the people setting these fires were Al-Qaeda maybe Washington would start to take notice.

BORDER: A must see movie!

I'm blogging from the Phoenix Hotel in Washington. It is the center of action of the Hold Their Feet To The Fire operation. I have just returned from Union Station were I just watched a screening of Chris Burgard's excellent documentary BORDER . If you want a close look at what is actually happening along our borders and want to be inspired as to what this country is all about. If you want to see patriotism in action and see some of the real heroes in America you need to see this documentary. The problem is there is no distribution deal set for this film nationally so far. But, it is being shown at some film festivals around the country. Keep an eye out for it and check the films website to see where it might be shown and take a look at the trailer. http://www.bordermovie.com/

Gonzales is protecting what?

According to the Washington Post Attorney General Alberto R(aza) Gonzales spoke yesterday and said :

"I'm not going to resign," "I'm going to stay focused on protecting our kids." - 3/22/07

Of course he did not say anything about protecting the U.S. borders. In fact when it comes to protecting the United States the Justice Department under Raza Gonzales has been hurting the U.S. justice not enforcing it.

Whether it is prosecuting U.S. Border Patrol agents
Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos. Including ignoring evidence at their trial like having the Department of Homeland Security lie about evidence.
Or prosecuting other law enforcement border agents like Edwards County Deputy Sheriff
Guillermo F. Hernandez.
Meanwhile fugitives like
Elvira Arellano are hiding in plain site in Chicago and Alberto R(aza) Gonzales does not lift a finger to see that justice is done in that case. So when Gonzales he needs to "protect our kids" someone needs to kick his butt and say NO! You are supposed to protect the United States period and that includes our borders and those bringing to justice people like Ms. Arellano who make a mockery of justice. But, obviously Gonzales is more interested in protecting the illegal immigrants who violate our laws than protecting our borders.

What's that fishy smell at the Justice Department

The Bush Administration is trying to defend the firing of seven U.S. attorneys late last year. One of the laughable reasons they gave is because the attorneys did not carry out Bush's policies on certain issues. From the Washington Post:

"The White House approved the firings of seven U.S. attorneys late last year after senior Justice Department officials identified the prosecutors they believed were not doing enough to carry out President Bush's policies on immigration, firearms and other issues, White House and Justice Department officials said yesterday."

Bush's policy on immigration? What a laugh! There is no policy on immigration except to allow millions of illegal immigrants to continue to break the law. Even convicted illegal immigrant fugitives can hide in plain sight for months like Elvira Arellano with no action by the Department of Justice and the Bush administration. Of course the Justice Department under Bush's former legal waterboy Alberto R(aza) Gonzales seems to have plenty of time and resources to railroad U.S. border agents and other law enforcement officers protecting U.S. borders.

The Justice Department received several letters dating to 2005 and signed by more than a dozen California lawmakers, mostly Republicans, raising concerns about then-U.S. Attorney Carol S. Lam's approach to prosecuting immigration cases. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, a Democrat, also wrote Gonzales in June, saying that the "low prosecution rates have a demoralizing effect on the men and women patrolling our nation's borders."

How about the millions of letters emails and phone calls the White House has received by U.S. citizens complaining about illegal immigrantion issues in our communities. Well, the fish rots from the head. As far as the lack of action by the attorneys on the problem on lack of enforcement on illegal immigration. It is the direct result of the lack leadership of the Attorney General Alberto R(aza) Gonzales. If there is anyone who should be fired it is Attorney General Gonzales!

An American Injustice!

There were rallies today in support of two U.S. Border agents Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos who are to report to jail this Thursday. I could not attend any of the rallies but I had this sign as I drove from Long Island to Washington D.C.:

It can really turn your stomach to see how our Federal Government can persecute these two Border Patrol Agents who were pursuing a drug dealer who crossed the U.S. border. Meanwhile, President Bush used his pardon powers for:

"Pardons For Drug Dealers, Jail For Border Patrol Agents
President George W. Bush has pardoned 14 criminals, including several drug dealers and a man convicted for bombing a coal mine, but he refused to pardon two U.S. Border Patrol agents sentenced to prison for intercepting an illegal immigrant drug smuggler at the Texas-Mexico border last year. "
