HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I know I'm jumping the gun here a little bit. But I'm wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'll be in bed by ten and don't play the TV too loud.

OK, OBAMA CLOWN TIME IS OVER!

Things are now getting serious with the attempted Christmas Day bombing Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab. Even more disturbing is the idiotic statement from Obama's Homeland Security Sectratary Janet Napolitano who declared that the system worked in the failed bombing incident. No Ms. Stupido Napolitano the system did not work because this guy got on the plane. The reason why you think the system worked is because the terrorist have not produced a reliable detonator! Janet (no enforcement) Napolitano is now an official member of Obama's Clown Cabinet.

This is not the first time our Clownland Secretary Napolitano has tried to proclaim failure as really success. There was the time when: "Napolitano went on CNN’s “State of the Union” and proclaimed that crossing the border illegally is not a crime. This statement left a lot of folks scratching their heads given that U.S. law—the law Napolitano is sworn to uphold—says quite the opposite. Section 8, Title 1325 of the U.S. code clearly states that those who enter the U.S. illegally are committing a crime."

It may be too much to ask officials of the Obama administration to actually read and understand the laws they are supposed to enforce. Then again maybe it just a normal part of the policy in the Obama Administration where:

Immigration Officials Arrest 300 in California. Yawn!

From today's New York Times:

"LOS ANGELES — Nearly 300 illegal immigrants who had committed serious crimes were deported or detained this week by federal agents in a demonstration of what immigration officials pledged was a new resolve to zero in on the most egregious lawbreakers."

New resolve? How about a "new resolve" to zero in ALL the illegals in our country! You can start with the most "egregious" lawbreakers first but, don't stop there. They have all broken the law!

"John Morton, an assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland Security who is in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Friday that focusing on serious criminals helped improve public safety."

If Homeland Security had been doing it's job in keeping these illegal immigrants out of the country in the first place there would be no public safety issue! The Federal Government does not deserve any gold stars for that failure! It just needs to clean up the mess that it created and that does not mean sweeping the illegal immigrant problem under the rug with an amnesty aka "path to citizenship" either! That approach did not work in 1986 and it won't work today!

“These are not people who we want walking our streets,” Mr. Morton said at a news conference here, a day after Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano made much the same point at a Congressional hearing."

I got news for you John that you can pass along to your boss Janet Napolitano at Homeland Security and President Obama. The American people don't want ANY of these illegal immigrants walking and/or loitering around our streets!

OBAMA ACCEPTS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. NO REALLY!

Now that Barack Obama has actually accepted the Nobel Peace Prize I think Bob speaks for many people here and around the world in regards to this event:

On the other hand perhaps Obama winning the peace prize is a message of hope after all. As this fellow points out here:

DEATH TO THE ACADEMICS?

Those with PhD degrees can sometimes be rather pompous and egotistical. Sometimes the PhD seems to stand for piled higher and deeper. Such an attitude may be irritating but, people don't usually resort to violence against them. Then comes this story in today's New York Times about Professor Richard T. Antoun who was stabbed in his office on Friday. Here are the money quotes:

"A 46-year-old Binghamton University graduate student from Saudi Arabia was charged on Saturday with killing a retired anthropology professor, a specialist in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies with whom he had worked, the authorities said.
The student, Abdulsalam S. al-Zahrani, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of the professor, Richard T. Antoun, who was stabbed in his office in the university’s Science I building on Friday afternoon, said Gerald F. Mollen, the district attorney in Broome County. “We believe the murder weapon was recovered,” he said.
Mr. Mollen said in a statement that Mr. Zahrani and Professor Antoun had known each other through Mr. Zahrani’s “work in the graduate program.” Later, in an interview, the district attorney said that “they’ve known each other for quite some time.” The extent of their contact was not immediately clear."

It's hard to fathom why someone would want to kill a retired Anthropology Professor of Middle Eastern Studies. But, the fact that the person charged was from Saudi Arabia should raise some eyebrows in the post 9/11 era. Dont cha think? That's why I found it curious that the New York Times would bury (no pun intended) this story on page 36 in the regional section of the paper. I know the Times has gone down hill over the past few years in terms of their biased reporting but, have the editors gone so politically correct that this story needs to be buried so far back in the paper? Hell, if some stupid kids on Long Island kill an illegal immigrant (as happened last year in Patchougue LI) it's front page news at liberal papers like the Times. American Professor's don't usually die at the hand of a Saudi national. But, for some reason it' buried on page 36. Curious.

WHITE HOUSE GATE CRASHERS: NO BLAME OBAMA

Looks like the Secret Service has fallen on their sword and is taking the blame for allowing the White House gate crashers to gain access to the White House State Dinner last week. They do deserve some of the blame for the security lapse. But, the so does the Obama Administration. Especially this woman:

Who is she? A super model? Nah. She's Desiree Rogers President Obama's Social Secretary. You know the one RESPONSIBLE for the guest list at things like oh State Dinners at the White House. Of course she is in this position because? Well, she was a financial bundler for the Obama campaign and is a gal pal of Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett:
On the other hand I guess you could say the Obama Administration has bought change to the Washington. Especially at events like State Dinners at the White House Here is Exhibit A:

"During President George W. Bush’s administration, it was standard procedure to have someone from the White House social office at the gate for state dinners and other events with large groups of visitors, according to a former senior Bush aide who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to be seen as criticizing the Obama White House.

The social office is most knowledgeable about the guest list and could have been called in case of any uncertainty, this official said…White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, asked by The Associated Press on Thursday whether personnel from her office were at the checkpoint said, “We were not.”"

So what is her philosophy about her job at the White House?

"“My belief is that we don’t always get everything accomplished over a meeting table,”” Rogers says. “Many times it’s over cocktails, it’s over dinner and so the other piece to our work will be what kind of events can we create?”

TRANSLATION: I'm here to party!

Hmmmm You would think Congress investigating the security lapse at last weeks State Dinner might want to question Ms. Rodgers. But, that ain't goin' to happen in the no blame Obama administration. Exhibit C:

"The White House on Wednesday invoked the separation of powers to keep Desiree Rogers, President Obama’s social secretary, from testifying on Capitol Hill about how a couple of aspiring reality television show celebrities crashed a state dinner for the prime minister of India last week."

BORDER BASICS & FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FAILURE

If you want to know one of the ways our Federal Government is failing us United States citizens on illegal immigration you need look no further than the case of Manoj Kargudri. Janet Kephart at the Center for Immigration Studies lays it all out in this video.
