OBAMA MAKING STUFF UP AGAIN!

President Obama was caught making stuff up again. This time it was his reasoning for FINALLY releasing his long form birth certificate which he said he decided to do two weeks ago. Jack Tapper at ABC News much to his credit actually does some journalism and looks at the facts. Here is the money quote:

"during that entire week the dominant news story wasn’t about these huge, monumental choices that we’re going to have to make as a nation. It was about my birth certificate. And that was true on most of the news outlets that were represented here.”_President Obama

But the president was wrong.

According to Pew’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, that week the dominant news story was without question the economy. The ridiculous claims about the president’s birth certificate actually was the No. 4 story for the week – receiving about one tenth of the coverage devoted to stories about the economy.

It's good to see there are still some journalists in Washington who are fact checking Obama's statements.

SPEAKING ABOUT EARTH DAY

Gaylord Nelson the Democratic Senator from Wisconsin was one of the principal founders of Earth Day back in 1970.  He was not only concerned about the environment he was also aware of the impact of over population and immigration and how it affects a countries environment too. Unfortunately most of the environmental movement seems to ignore the issue. Nelson did not here is the money quote:

"The bigger the population gets, the more serious the problems become…. We have to address the population issue. The United Nations, with the U.S. supporting it, took the position in Cairo in 1994 that every country was responsible for stabilizing its own population. It can be done. But in this country, it's phony to say "I'm for the environment but not for limiting immigration."- Gaylord Nelson

Roy Beck lays out the numbers and what Nelson was talking about:

BOYCOTT CHIPOTLE: JUST SAY ADIOS WITH YOUR WALLET!

When I work in Washington D.C. I use to sometimes get my lunch at a Chipotle restaurant on Wisconsin Ave. But, I won't stop there again or any of other Chipotle's anymore here's why:

"The hundreds of illegal immigrants recently fired from fast-growing burrito chain Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc had a pretty good run when it came to job security. Not only did some get jobs with fake Social Security numbers and few questions about their immigration status, in some cases they actually told managers point-blank their papers were no good. And they often stayed on for years.Marta, an undocumented worker from Mexico, twice used false Social Security numbers to secure positions at the chain now being audited by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. She was hired with one false Social Security number in 2003 and rehired as a new employee a few years later under a different name with new, but still fake, number.
The second hire, in 2006, came after Marta told her bosses she needed to change her Social Security number because it belonged to someone else and had caused her mortgage application to fail."-Reuters

I'm not going to use my hard earned American dollars to support the corrupt corporate culture of Chipolte and reward their illegal hiring practices. They knew what they were doing. Chipolte made money by hiring cheap illegal immigrants instead of American workers who in these economic times need all the help they can get and that includes American teenagers who as the headlines often point out are finding it hard to find jobs in this economy too. So it's adios to Chipotle for me! The Chipolte motto is "Food with integrity"  but,  I guess that does not include ethical hiring practices! If they can't hire workers legally than I'll use my legal tender elsewhere. I hope others do the same.

IS AP FOLLOWING THE NEW YORK TIMES DOWN THE RATHOLE?

It seems the Associated Press is following the downward spiral of the New York Times when it comes to fact checking before running stories. The Associated Press was fooled by a bogus press release that General Electric was going to return 3.2 billion dollars to the Treasuary because of bad publicity.  The left leaning journalists and editors who seem to be running "amuck" at AP these days look like they are about to take another "trusted" news organization down the tubes with shoddy journalism.

OBAMA FLIP FLOP

"On Monday, White House spokesman Jay Carney said then-Senator Obama made a mistake when he voted in 2006 against a measure to raise the debt ceiling a $3,500 billion to $8,600 billion. Obama “regrets that vote and thinks it was a mistake,” Carney told reporters at the daily press briefing."-Daily Caller

Yes, The American people know all to well about making mistakes!
