Elvira Arellano: Won't someone deport this woman?

Elvira Arellano the illegal immigrant and now fugitive from justice took refuge inside Aldalberto United Methodist Church on Aug. 15, 2006, and has lived there on the second floor.
"She was to announce Wednesday that she plans a Sept. 12 trip to Washington to lobby Congress for immigration reform, according to the Rev. Walter Coleman, pastor of the church and longtime Chicago political activist."-Washington Post

Let me get this straight a known fugitive who is hiding in plain sight holds a press conference to announce that she will be traveling to Washington D.C. to lobby members of Congress. If you are not outraged you have not been paying attention. Diggers Realm has an additional outrage on this issue.

"It's not clear how she'll get there, but she likely won't be flying, Coleman told The Associated Press Tuesday. He and others worry Arellano will be arrested, but she plans to go anyway"

If Immigration and Customs Enforcement allow her to get anywhere near the Capitol there should be hell to pay. Here are some numbers that you should call to make sure that ICE knows that she is coming and that they need to arrest and deport her.

The number for the ICE TIP line is 1-866-DHS-2ICE

You might also want to call:

Office of Detention and Removal Operations Offices
Headquarters
Director, Office of Detention and Removal Operations Washington D.C.
Phone: 202-305-2734

and

The ICE Field Office Director, Washington
Phone: 703-285-6200
Area of Responsibility: District of Columbia and Virginia

And since she is a fugitive from Justice perhaps a tip to the FBI is in order:

Perhaps it would be a good test of Homeland Security and the new surveillance technology (see the previous post) to locate and follow this fugitive as she attempts to make her way to Washington D.C. Why not?

Elvira Arellano wants people to think she's the Mexican Rosa Parks. But Rosa Parks was not an illegal immigrant, she was a natural born citizen who, on account of her citizenry, had certain inalienable rights which were constitutionally protected.

Our Constitution was written to protect the rights of American citizens. It was not written in order to protect the "rights" of foreigners to invade our country and disrespect our laws (and our culture) while simultaneously taking our jobs and engaging in numerous acts of criminality, such as identity theft.

As someone who was raised in the Methodist church (and whose father and grandfather were both Methodist clergymen), I am appalled that a Methodist church here in Chicago has spent the past year harboring this arrogant fugitive from justice! I hope that our law enforcement officials will arrest Elvira the minute she steps outside of the church in order to leave for Washington, DC. They need to ship her lawbreaking behind back to Mexico, or better yet, put her in prison for a very long time. The latter would be preferable, even if it cost U.S. taxpayers money, because it would prevent her from just sneaking back into the USA again, the way she did the last time when she was deported. Otherwise, she'll just keep doing the same thing again and again.

As for what happens to her son, they should put him into the foster care system here in the U.S. As someone who used to work for a child welfare agency specializing in foster children, I can attest to the fact that that's what we generally do when children are unfortunate enough to be saddled with parents who cannot be bothered to obey the laws of the land.

Mark:
I agree with almost everything you wrote. But, I think Arellano does have one right. The right to be deported! Arellano and her follwers are playing the only card they have and that is the sympathy card. They know they don't have a leg to stand on leagally. That's why they use her son as a pawn. I think she should take him with her when she's deported. There is no one putting a gun to her head to make her son stay here. Though she and her handlers are making it sound like that's what will happen. Thanks for your well thought out comments.

It's truly amazing how people can openly defy our national security laws and get a free pass. If anything this whole situation goes to show you the utter disdain that this woman and illegals in general have for our nation. What's even worse is that our politicians are pandering to them stabbing our own citizens squarely in the back. It is our tax money that is going to "enforce" and "secure" our borders while we subsidize their life here while hard working legal American citizens continually get shafted. I'll be cracking a cold one when she gets deported. Nice making your acquaintance. I'll be adding you to my blogroll. Take care.
