Legal immigrants do, illegals don't.

Even in a flawed study a report shows what has been said all along that illegal immigrants do not pay as much in taxes as even legal immigrants or U.S. Citizens. While U.S. citizens and legal immigrants pay about one third of there income in taxes illegal immigrants pay only about 19 percent and that is only those who actually pay taxes. Many illegals are paid off the books by businesses who are also breaking the law. The serious flaw in the study is that it did not even look at the amount of money that is paid to provide social services to the illegal immigrants. From healthcare to the churches and charities funded by George Bush's "Faith Based Iniative" which provides food and shelter for many illegal immigrants. The study should be filed by middle class taxpayers in the Hola suckers file!

Agreed! Can Beer Can calculate the amount of social services used up by America's illegal babysitters landscapers, dishwashers, roofers, etc? It must be in the billions or zillions of pesos!

Actually, there is estimated net fiscal drain of $2,736 a year that each illegal household imposes on the federal treasury. That is just at the federal level costs at the State and local level can raise the number much higher.

By the way that is 31,015.98 pesos per year.

and where is this figure from?

That figure is from the Center for Immigration studies. But, even Paul Krugman the columinist/economist for the New York Times writes:
"Unfortunately, low-skill immigrants don't pay enough taxes to cover the cost of the benefits they receive."
