E.J. Dionne's dumb arguments on the Senate Shamnesty bill

There is a disconnect in Washington from the American people. Most of the politicians in Washington have it but, those in the Washington mainstream media seem to be most disconnected. Today's column from the liberal Washington Post writer E.J. Dionne is no exception. He argues for the Senate to pass the current Senate Amnesty bill. You know the one that was written behind closed doors by the open borders lobbyists and clueless pols. Here are some the money quotes:

"In any event, the notion that all or even most of the 200,000 guest workers would return home on schedule is laughable. We could be opening up a brand-new immigration problem."

Oh but, granting an amnesty to 12 million (minimum) people who have ignored and broken our current immigration laws will not cause a future immigration problems E.J.? It won't send a message to others break into the country lie low and eventually they have to give you amnesty. Like we did in 1986 and the stupid Senators are proposing now!

The other provision that bothers so many Democrats, particularly Latinos, is a point system based on various qualifications, including employment and education, for determining who would get preferences for green cards. It would have the effect of making it harder for immigrants to bring in members of their families.

We've constantly heard from the pro illegal lobbyists the the illegals "just come here to work" now all of a sudden they demand the right to bring their families in too! So instead of 12 million people you will have an influx of 36 to maybe 100 million people coming into the country. Of course that does not concern Washington based liberals like Dionne and the Senators pushing this bill. They won't pay the higher school and social services costs these additional immigrants will add to local communities.

You can't kick them out. Anybody who advocates trying to dig out 12 million people who have been in our society for a while is sending a signal to the American people that's just not real. It's an impractical solution.

Here Dionne hides behind the White Flag logic of George Bush and the surrender Senators. That is our Federal Government is incapable of securing our borders and also enforcing our immigration laws inside the United States so we just surrender and make all the illegals legal and sweep this problem under the rug and say look we solved the problem.
